An Open Email to All US Senators

Everyone: If this matters to you, think about sending this or a similar email to your local senator:

Subject: The Filibuster Rule

Dear Senator,

Why on earth did you and other senators change the filibuster rule?

  1. Now we have these obstructionists denying the President his right to choose his cabinet, and
  2. We have greedy Republicans garnering more donations for their political war chest, and
  3. We have men without hearts or souls (or courage for that matter) trying to destroy the reputation of a Good American, Mr. Hagel.

Shame!

Cross Post -- Carter Brown Books -- Purient Interest

Not sure, but you all might enjoy these sleazy paperback covers from my other post

Also, there are great Robert McGinnis sites out there too: Really, there are so many to choose from, that I just select three:

Say "No" to Facebook

Resolution: Share Less on FB

An interesting fake New Year's  resolution posted by Jon Carroll on San Francisco Chronicle's website today. The full excerpt:

Share less on Facebook: It's not just you and your friends; it's this large moneymaking device designed to suck dollars from your wallet. It thinks of you as just a little tunnel in the gigantic data mine it's running.
Whatever you did before Facebook, do that again. E-mail without intermediaries. Text without subtext. Facebook is the wrong model for community building, and one day it will all fall apart. But you'll be somewhere else. Good.
